Introduction
The NuMicro® M481 Base series, developed by Nuvoton, envelops the M481SIDAE, a high performance, low power microcontroller. Empowered by Arm® Cortex®-M4F core with DSP extension, it operates at a frequency up to 192 MHz with an impressive 175 uA/ MHz dynamic low power consumption. The M481SIDAE is designed for multiple applications, including IoT Devices, Data Collectors, among others.
Function & Applications
The MCUs in the M481 Base series come with an embedded Flash memory of 512 KB/256/128 KB and an embedded SRAM of 160/128/64 KB. The factory pre-loaded bootloader offers Secure Boot functionality that executes a code integrity check in embedded Flash memory. The inbuilt Secure Protection ROM provides a secure area for protecting confidential program or data in line with OTA firmware upgrade. The One-Time Programmable ROM included ensures effective product life-cycle management.
Performance Parameters
The product holds a lot of prominent specifications, such as DSP instruction set, Memory Protection Unit (MPU), 4 KB Secure Protection ROM, and 2 KB One-Time-Programmable ROM. It has also endowed with several in-built clock features like 4 to 24 MHz crystal oscillator, 32 kHz oscillator for RTC, internal 12 MHZ RC oscillator, etc., and a set of peripherals, such as UART, SPI, I2C, and PWM.
