Built on the Arm Cortex-M23 core using the Armv8-M architecture, these microcontrollers are capable of running up to 48 MHz and feature up to 256 KB of Flash memory, 32 KB of SRAM, and support an operating voltage range of 1.75V ~ 5.5V. They are also 5V I/O tolerant and can function in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C. Low power consumption is essential for handheld devices and smart home appliances. The M254/M256/M258 series achieves this with a Normal Run mode of 110 μA/MHz at 48 MHz, Power-down mode at 3.8μA with RTC on and RAM retention, and Deep Power-down mode of 1.6 ŒºA. The RTC function can also be supported by an independent VBAT voltage source pin, allowing the device to function in a low-power mode with the main power off. An essential aspect of the series is the COM/SEG LCD driver, which supports 8 x 44, 6 x 46, and 4 x 48 COM/SEG LCD displays. The integrated capacitive touch sensing function in the M256/M258 series enables up to 24 touch-keys with single-scan or programmable periodic key-scans. The M258 series also supports a crystal-less USB 2.0 full-speed device, compliant with USB Battery Charging Detection v1.2 for fast battery charging. A variety of peripherals, including timers, watchdog timers, RTC, UART, SPI/I²S, I²C, and PWM make these microcontrollers highly adaptable for various external modules. Additionally, they boast high-performance analog circuits, such as 12-bit ADC, DAC, and a temperature sensor to reduce the need for external components. These microcontrollers are available in LQFP44, LQFP64, and LQFP128 pin-compatible packages, designed for use in handheld devices, thermostats with smart LCD displays, smart home appliances, industrial control, and temperature/humidity loggers. Support for numerous development platforms, including Arm Keil MDK, IAR EWARM IDE, and free GNU compiler with Eclipse IDE, is available. The series also features several unique identifiers for added security, such as a 96-bit Unique ID (UID) and a 128-bit Unique Customer ID (UCID). View less
