Introduction & Function & Applications
The NuMicro NUC200 Series is a sophisticated array of 32-bit microcontrollers embedded with the ARM Cortex-M0 core. Ideal for industrial control and applications requiring rich communication interfaces, this series provides cost-effective solutions equivalent to traditional 8-bit MCUs. It includes NUC200 and NUC220 product lines. On one hand, the NUC200 Advanced Line, equipped with the Cortex-M0 core, operates up to 50 MHz, offers 64K bytes flash, 8K bytes embedded SRAM, and 4 Kbytes loader ROM for the ISP.
As for applications, the NUC200 series is optimal for security/alarm systems, temperature sensors, communication systems, and more.
Performance Parameters
The NUC200 model operates at 2.5V ~ 5.5V and - 40 ℃ ~ 85 ℃. It boasts a 22.1184 MHz high precision internal oscillator (± 1% accuracy at 25 ℃, 5V; full range ± 3%), rich peripherals like RTC, ISO-7816-3, CRC, I2S, and high ESD/EFT immunity. It includes 64 KB of flash memory, 8 KB of SRAM, and 4 KB Data Flash with In-System, In-Circuit, and In-Application Programming capacities. Sophisticated ADC able to handle up to 7 channels with 12-bit resolution and up to 760 kSPS is part of the package, as well as a PWM featuring up to 6-channel or three complementary paired PWM outputs.
Package Types, Interface & Pin Configuration
The NUC200 series offers the package type of LQFP48. Providing an array of connectivity options, the microcontrollers offer up to four SPIs (up to 36 MHz), up to two I2Cs (up to 400 kHz), up to six UARTs (up to 1 Mbps) and up to three ISO-7816-3 interfaces for security application purposes.
Reliability & Lifespan
These microcontrollers are engineered to perform reliably, featuring a Window Watchdog Timer for further reliability. A Low Voltage Reset Controller and Brown-Out Detector are part of the design to ensure the stability of the system. The lifespan will be influenced by external operating conditions, but the design caters for a broad temperature range (-40℃ ~ 105℃), providing flexibility and boost reliability.
Standards & Certifications
Although the original specification does not highlight any specific standards or certifications, such sophisticated devices are typically designed to meet and exceed industry standards and have certifications from recognized bodies to attest to their quality and safety.
Application Cases & Reference Designs
As for application cases, the NUC200 series offers incredible versatility. It's suitable for security and alarm systems, temperature sensors, communication systems and other industrial applications. The rich connectivity interfaces, coupled with the high immunity, make this series ideal for a wide array of uses in these sectors.
